Universal Health Care Obama

This illo was for this project on political issues like stem cells, abortion, global warming, etc. Whatever issue we felt strongly about. I chose universal health care. I chose to take a neutral position on this subject because I'm not really political at all. I understand the obstacles in the way of this reform, so I thought it best if Obama approached the situation with caution.

...I wanna redo this...

SUMMER TIME

Well folks, after a long and arduous journey through this past semester of my sophomore year at Ringling, I can finally take a deep breathe… Cause I made it!!! I can call myself a junior now. Sadly though, I wont be able to post many things on my page this summer for lack of a scanner. But after I find a job, hopefully that will all change. But I will be doin alot of sketch book heavy activities and working with traditional media. I've got a lot of improvement to do this summer. But this will all be for the better. Oh and my advice to any soon to be sophomores and incoming freshmen: DRAW FROM LIFE EVERYDAY. EVERYTHING YOU SEE, AND KEEP AN OPEN MIND AND A WILLINGNESS TO LEARN. Anything worth having in life is not going to be handed to you or easy to obtain. You've got to work for it. Have a good summer everybody and produce your own shit. We're free for the next couple months.

Sauce so hot…

Your ass will burn for days. For my intro to graphic design class, we had to design a label/ package for an existing product or come up with one of our own. I decided to make hot sauce. Destructo Sauce. We had to design the packaging, not the product in the bottle. I don't have the time here to go out to the farm and pick the hottest peppers in the world on the side of a mountain in South America or some place. I'm goin on a tangent, sorry. But yea this is my packaging.

Another touch…

I went back yet again to this piece to touch it up a lil more and make it better. This was a spot illustration/ vignette kind of assignment. That's why there's this funky border on it.

In the dessert

So this time through in illustration, we had to do some spot illustrations for magazines and childrens books. We had a choice between animal metaphores or figures of speech. As you can see, I chose the first one. I transformed a dessert tortoise into a tank. Dessert Storm tortoise AWAY!!!! Ill repost after a few revisions. But I'm liking the way it's goin.

Figure today and a painting

So today in my figure drawing class I decided to experiment with different medias. Aside from the usual charcoal or conte, I added ink into the mixture. I've kinda taken a liking to it. We'll see how it goes from there.

This is a palette knife painting I did last semester of the bay on Indian Beach. I've decided to call it Stormy. The actual piece is a little more saturated than the pic I took

Thats all for now.

Laterz.

Sketch Book Madness!!!!

Dreams, Fantasies, and Reality
I had a dream of a raven haired lovely in my laundry room. I'll leave it at that...

I was stuck between a couple people on this flight.

These are just a couple of things in my book I hadn't put up yet. I don't have many dreams, at least I don't remember alot of them. But when I do, they're pretty vivid and trippy. That's all for now. Laterz
